Casino players from the USA Have Easy Access To Legal Gambling Sites

A list of the best online casinos that accept US players has been released by Online Casinos USA, allowing those US casino players frustrated at the 2006 UIGEA to seek out their thrills and excitement legally.
The UIGEA, passed in October 2006, prevents US casino players from accessing many online casino gambling sites, mainly Playtech powered casinos, whose shares initially plummeted in the aftermath.

However, Online-Casinos-USA.com have provided a helpful list which includes site reviews and information about over 100 online casino gambling sites that still accept US casino players.

Online Casinos USA also give information about the best online casino bonus offers, deposit and withdrawl methods, as well as the latest news and game reports about bonuses, progressive jackpots and other special promotions.

In the run-up to the US Presidential elections, Senator Clinton has stated she feels American casino gambling fans should have the choice of whether to gamble online or not. Senator Clinton is a runner up for the US Democratic Party, the only rivals to the Republican Party which passed the UIGEA in 2006.

Can US Online Casino Players stop the UIGEA

The big question that is circulating these days about USA online casinos is: Can the UIGEA Be Stopped? As another money processing service stops serving U.S. casino players, two membvers of Congress release a bill that prevents the implementation of the UIGEA.

The bill to ban US online casino gambling, the UIGEA, shook the online casino industry when it was introduced towards the end of 2006. Although many American casino players felt that the bill would not be able to create a complete ban on Internet casinos, it did do some major damage to the online gambling industry. The prior to the implementation of the UIGEA, there were 2,500 online casino sites that generated in the vicinity of about $15. After President Bush signed the UIGEA Bill, the online casinos revenues went dopwn by about 50%.

Barney Frank, a democrat Congressman from Massachusetts and Ron Paul, a republican from Texas, are doing their best to stop the UIGEA. They recently introduced a new bill in an attempt to stop the US government from inforcing the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act.

The two congressmen declared that their push behind the bill is the idea that the federal government should not be able to legislate or control morality. They also believe that the government does not have the ability to identify and stop all the transactions between what the illegal Internet gambling companies and U.S. casino players due to the fact that most of these companies are based abroad.

During a congress hearing on the proposed rules of the UIGEA on April 2, one of the congressmen submitted a written statement that said in part:
“The ban on Internet gambling infringes upon two freedoms that are important to many Americans: the ability to do with their money as they see fit, and the freedom from government interference with the Internet. The regulations and underlying bill also force financial institutions to act as law enforcement officers. This is another pernicious trend that has accelerated in the aftermath of the Patriot Act, the deputization of private businesses to perform intrusive enforcement and surveillance functions that the federal government is unwilling to perform on its own.”
Rather than ban internet gambling completely, the congressmen suggest that the online gambling sites will be regulated by ing fees and and taxation.

Thus far, many online casino players from the U.S. are beating the ban using various deposit methods. Despite the UIGEA there are approximately 100,000 people playing casino games online at any given moment. Until the ban is fully implemented or someone comes up with a compromise the US government can accept, the online casino gambling industry will try to come up with ways to serve its avid casino players.

Antigua US Online Casinos dispute continues

News Papers in Antigua are reporting that Antigua’s government is about to make a statement over US online casinos UIGEA act which will state that "...a proposal for the resolution of the trade dispute received from the U.S. last week has not been met favourably."

Apparently the offer made by the US government related to
Online USA casinos, after a World Trade Organization deadline passed, was apparently brought up at a meeting of the Antiguan Cabinet but was not pereceived well.

Antigua's Minister of Finance and, Dr. Errol Cort, aproved the fact that he forwarded a settlement proposal to US Trade Representative Ambassador Susan Schwab last January. In the proposal, Antigua and Barbuda agreed it would hold off on arbitration proceedings at the WTO until the end of March to give the US time to study the settlement proposal. Dr. Errol Cort hinted at an impending joint statement with the US Trade Representative as a result of the proposal regarding US online casino prohibitions.

Dr. Errol Cort stated that "However, the U.S. and ourselves are seeking to agree on the press statement that would follow the decisions on both sides, in terms of how the matter will be handled."

Antigua and Barbuda are seeking compensation from the US, for preventing American players from playing at US online casinos, through the Worlf Trade Organization as the US tries to withdraw from commitments aimed at providing market access to the US online casino gambling sector. Antigua’s economy is heavily dependent on online casino gambling revenues from the United States.

The blocking of US online casino gambling market by the UIGEA legislation has damaged the profitability of many online casino games operators not based in the US. Many online casino owners had to withdraw from the US market to avoid possible prosecution by the American authorities.

Costa Rica and U.S.A settle US online Casino dispute

Costa Rica and the US have reached a compensation agreement with the in a long dispute over legislation which has prohibited foreign online casino gaming firms from operating casino websites in the US market.

According to a recent report by a Costa Rican news paper, the Tico Times, Costa Rica has accepted a US offer that will give it larger access to other service markets with in the United States. These markets include research and development, storage, technical testing and analysis. This was offered as a compensation for losses due to the closure of the US online casino gambling market that generated loss of income to Costa Rican internet gambling operators.

This agreement is close in similarity to the deal that the US government closed with the EU at the end of 2007. The settlement with the EU provides EU service suppliers with access to new markets and new trade opportunities in the United States postal and courier services, research and development companies and the warehousing markets.
